Terms of Use

Effective

These terms describe using UGDB and contributing to its catalogue. Publication does not retroactively grant UGDB rights over older uploads or establish an existing user’s agreement to new terms.

About UGDB

Ultimate Game Database (UGDB) is operated by Aytaç Sarkmaz. UGDB helps people discover games, maintain a personal collection, record playtime and ratings, and suggest improvements to a shared game catalogue.

Contact support@ugdb.gg with account, service or rights questions. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information; these terms do not replace it or ask you to waive your privacy rights.

Using the service

UGDB is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. The public catalogue can be browsed without an account. An account is needed to save personal gaming information and use member contribution features.

UGDB is currently free to use. Creating an account does not start a paid subscription. Any future paid offering would have its own clearly stated price and require your agreement before you are charged.

Keep your sign-in account secure and tell us if you believe someone has accessed your UGDB account without permission. Do not impersonate someone else, harass others, submit unlawful material, deliberately submit misleading catalogue information, or attempt to bypass access controls or disrupt the service.

Your collection and community information

You can change your saved gaming information and available privacy settings. Community statistics can include eligible Wishlist entries, ratings and playtime even when your profile is private. They do not display your name or account ID, but a result can be based on one contribution. The Privacy Policy explains this use and how to raise a privacy concern.

Catalogue facts, release dates and community results can be incomplete or incorrect. Check important details with the relevant publisher or platform, especially before making a purchase. Please report mistakes so we can review them. UGDB does not claim to be affiliated with every game publisher or platform shown in the catalogue.

Suggestions and artwork

Only submit material you are entitled to share for the proposed catalogue use. Include relevant source, permission and attribution information. Finding an image online does not, by itself, give permission to republish it. Avoid adding unnecessary personal information about yourself or anyone else.

You keep any rights you hold in your contributions. To the extent you can grant permission, you allow UGDB to store and review submitted material and, if accepted, reproduce, resize or format it and display it as part of the catalogue. This permission is non-exclusive and limited to operating and maintaining UGDB; it is not an ownership transfer or permission for unrelated uses. Applicable third-party licence conditions and required credits still apply.

Suggestions and artwork may be accepted, corrected or declined during review. Submitting material does not guarantee publication. Approved catalogue facts and legitimately retained artwork may remain after you delete your account, without your account attribution. Required licence credits and requests about personal information or copyright are assessed separately.

If you believe something infringes your rights, contact support with the page address, the material concerned and a short explanation. We will review the report; reporting something does not automatically establish that it is unlawful.

YouTube and other services

UGDB uses YouTube API Services for its video features. By using those features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google describes its processing in the Google Privacy Policy. YouTube controls its videos and their availability. Other external services have their own terms and privacy information.

Agreeing to these terms does not automatically give consent to optional tracking or other processing that needs a separate choice. The UGDB Privacy Policy explains when its video player connects to YouTube.

Leaving UGDB and service changes

You may stop using UGDB at any time. You can request account deletion from your Profile or contact support if you cannot sign in. Signing out alone does not delete the account. Removal of private records, retained contributions and backup copies is explained in the Privacy Policy.

UGDB is still developing, so features can change and interruptions can occur. We will explain material changes affecting your account service and give reasonable notice where practicable. Urgent security or legal action may need to happen sooner. These terms do not exclude responsibilities or rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes to these terms

We will show the effective date and explain important changes before they take effect, using a website notice and email to affected account holders where appropriate. Where a change requires your agreement, we will ask for it; an updated date alone does not establish your agreement.
